A new start! Week 1 19/9/11
This week we introduced Year 7 and 8 to the joys of non-newtonian fluids, otherwise known as slime! A non-newtonian fluid is one that behaves like a fluid until a force is exerted upon it, whereupon it becomes solid. The Science Faculty particularly enjoy preparing for and taking part in this experiment.
Year 9 became bone detectives for half an hour on Thursday. They were given access to the Biology Department’s anatomy collection and Miss Shaw drew on her forensic training to answer their questions.
It is great to see some new faces this year, not just among the pupils but also with the staff. It seems everyone is intrigued as to what happens in E13 at lunchtimes!
