Boys' Uniform

School blazer*.

School tie* with 7 full blue stripes showing (Lower School) and SMC crest showing for Middle School.

Shirt - white - no motif or coloured T-shirts to be worn underneath.

Trousers - standard dark grey or black (of moderate leg width) not patterned.

Jumper - medium or dark grey v-necked (not black).

Shoes (not boots) - black (leather or leather type, not suede or canvas) No sports or trainer type shoes.

No coloured laces, heels of normal size.

Socks - dark grey or black - not white

Outer coat, anorak - single colour navy-blue or black, three-quarter length - no logos,

Not leather or imitation leather or fur around hood.

School scarf - optional (but only the school scarf or a plain navy, black or maroon scarf may be worn)

Hair must be above the collar, neat and well groomed.  No stripes, tails or shaved heads.  Colour of hair must be natural.  No hair colouring, striping ir streaking.  No spiked hair; no gelled hair, tails or exitoc hairstyles. 

(The Principal is the final arbiter of 'neat and well groomed'). 

No jewellery permitted except for a watch.

No make-up allowed. 

P.E. Kit

Polo shirt - white*

Shorts - plain white (available from the School Shop)     

Socks - white

Gym shoes/training shoes - white (NOT training boots)

Games Kit

School tracksuit* (strongly recommended)

Football boots (Rugby studs are required from September - January)

Rugby shorts* - navy blue (no logos)

Cricket - full whites are required in the Summer Term for team use

Girls' Uniform

School blazer*

Shirt - white - long sleeved with * School tie* (Winter) with 7 full blue stripes showing (Lower School) and SMC crest showing for Middle School.

Shirt - white short-sleeved, revere necked - no tie (Summer)*.     

Skirt - navy, box pleated (approximately 2" below the knee).*

Jumper - navy v-necked (no cardigans).

Shoes - black (leather or leather type, not suede or canvas, with broad, low heels) no coloured laces.

Tights - navy (non-patterned) or navy knee length socks (in Winter),

Plain white ankle socks (in Summer).

Outer coat/anorak single colour - navy or black - three-quarter length (plain without logos  or other trimming) not leather or imitation leather or fur around hood.

School scarf - optional (but only the school scarf or plain navy, black or maroon may be worn).

Jewellery - none (except a watch)

Makeup - none

Hair - must be well groomed at all times.  Long hair (longer than collar length) should be tied back off the face.  Slides, bobbles and ribbons must be navy, black or maroon.  Colour of hair must be natural.  NO hair colouring, striping or sreaking.  The Principal shall be the final arbiter of neat and well groomed.

Sixth Form Girls' Uniform

White shirt blouse

Straight black skirt - pleated (box or inverted) medium length - below the knee. Slit skirts are NOT allowed.  Discreet openings below the knee are acceptable.

Black pullover (v-neck)

Black or flesh-coloured tights (non- patterned)

6th Form tie*

6th Form blazer*

Black shoes - low, broad heeled

Black/Navy-blue top coat - full or three-quarter length

Jewellery - Earrings - small gold stud only

Rings - only one ring may be worn

Bracelets - not allowed

Make-up - Must be simple and unobtrusive

Hair - Long hair must be kept tidy

Ribbons/slides - discreet

Optional - White short-sleeved shirt blouse in Summer.

Short white socks in Summer.
