The Year 9 netball team at St Mary's College are the new champions of Sefton.  After a remarkable run in the annual Sefton Schools Netball Tournament, which saw them win every game in the group and knockout stages, they faced old rivals Merchant Taylors' Girls School in the final.  The team's good form continued in this match with St Mary's playing magnificently to win by an emphatic 9-1 margin.

Head of Girls PE, Miss Foster, commented: "This was a great performance by skipper Brady Williams and her team and I would like to congratulate all the girls on their achievement.  This squad has enjoyed significant success in previous years and it's very pleasing to see them continuing their winning ways.  They are a credit to the school".
