Vocational Visit to Sierra Leone is a Moving Experience
During October half term Mr. Gough took a group of pupils to Sierra Leone on a vocational visit. They worked in a number of different Christian Brother's schools delivering maths, art, music, dance and a variety of sporting activities. During their visit the group observed many of the community projects the Brothers are actively involved with aimed at helping some of the most marginalised people in society. A guided tour of a displacement camp and the slum areas of Freetown was a particularly emotional and moving experience. All members of the group benefited immensely from the visit and whilst we may not have changed Africa I think it fair to say that Africa most certainly changed each one of us.
