The Mount Hosts the Christian Brothers Choir Festival
Young voices were united in song when a Crosby school hosted a Christian Brothers Choir Festival recently.
Pupils from St Mary's prep school The Mount welcomed talented singers from two other schools to the event - St Anselm's in Birkenhead and St Ambrose College prep school in Altrincham.
The event began with each individual school singing a selection of pieces on a harvest festival theme. Then all three choirs joined forces to perform together, bringing the afternoon to a rousing and tuneful end.
To mark their involvement in the festival, each choir received a plaque to take back to their school.
Mount Headteacher Michael Collins commented: "This was the first time we had hosted the Christian Brothers Choir Festival in recent years and we would like to thank the other schools for taking part. The event featured some wonderful singing and I would like to pay tribute to the talented members of the choirs and to the staff who had prepared the children so well."
