Ski Trip to Italian Dolomites
Pupils from St. Mary’s College in Crosby recently ‘sloped off’ on a week-long ski trip to the Italian Dolomites.
57 students - accompanied by eight members of staff - were based in the popular resort of Civetta where skiing conditions were excellent, with perfect snow and empty pistes, thanks to the fact that St. Mary’s were the only school group in the resort.
Full days on the slopes were followed by equally busy evenings of social events including a quiz night, pizza night and a disco.
St. Mary’s Head of Boys PE and holiday leader, Derek Williams, commented:
“Civetta is widely regarded as a hidden gem amongst ski afficionados, with high speed gondolas and some of the best night-time skiing in Italy.
“As a result, this proved to be another very successful ski trip. Our pupils enjoyed hours of fun and it was a pleasure to take them.
“After a very enjoyable week in a superb resort I am sure the pupils will look back on the holiday as one of the highlights of their time at the school” added Mr Williams.
