Sixth Form Ball
Young people from the College were among the sixth formers stepping out in style at the St. Mary’s College winter ball recently.
In place of normal school uniform, dinner jackets, suits and ‘posh frocks’ were the order of the day for the glittering occasion which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool city centre for the fourth year in a row.
More than 100 pupils from throughout the school’s wide catchment area - including a strong Crosby contingent - attended the event which is one of the highlights of the school’s social calendar.
The ball was organised by St. Mary’s Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Carole Killen, and a committee of students.
St. Mary’s College Principal, Mike Kennedy, commented: “Our sixth formers really look forward to attending the winter ball which has become one of our most popular annual events.
“This year was no exception. It was a first-class occasion with all the students putting a lot of time and effort into dressing up and making it an evening to remember.”
