More Science Success!

Two of our Upeer Sixth girls, Abby Best and Emma Brazier have followed in the footsteps of previous students by winning prestigious Nuffield Science Bursaries.  They were selected from thousands of sixth-form applicants to spend four weeks of their summer holidays working alongside professional scientists doing high level research. 

Abby researched techniques for measuring aortic aneurisms while Emma studied the effects of ageing on eye function.  Both girls presented the results of their work at the annual Nuffield Presentation Evening.  Congratulations Abby and Emma!

The Lower Sixth will have the opportunity to apply for next summer in the coming weeks.
