These included Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No 1 (Land of Hope and Glory), Jerusalem, the Fantasia on British Sea Songs written by Proms founder Henry Wood and, of course, Rule Britannia. Dr. Trevor Lane, commented: “The Last Night of the Proms concert is always one of the highlights of the school calendar and it was a huge success again this year. As well as being a rousing way to end the school year it’s a great way to showcase the wealth of musical talent at St Mary’s.”
