French Exchange 2008 - Pupil Report
During February half-term Madame Jones and Mrs Ford took a group of 11 of us to Saint Dié on the French Exchange. We were made very welcome by both staff and pupils at the Lycée Beau Jardin and we enjoyed taking part in English lessons.
We visited Nancy, a castle and the lake at Gérardmer. We learned how to decorate candles and make sweets. Despite the age range we all got on well and learned lots of French. The highlights were the skiing at La Bresse, the party at Jeanne's and the Chinese meal on the last day.
It was 8 months before the second leg, so some of the French group came over in July as well as October, as they couldn't wait that long! We went to Chester, Liverpool, Freshfield, Southport and Alton Towers. There were parties most nights and we just loved being together. Needless to say there were many tears shed at Liverpool Airport. The highlight this time was the Halloween party at Kieran's on the last night. I can't wait until the next trip in February.
