College welcomes German Visitors
St. Mary’s College in Crosby recently welcomed a party of students from Munich in Germany. The students, aged from 18 to 22, were from German college of further education FOS-BOS Furstenfeldbruck. The group was on a five-day study tour of Liverpool, arranged with the city’s German Honorary Consul, Dr Ulrich Pfeiffer. The visitors spent their time at St. Mary’s with the school’s senior students, joining lessons, attending assembly and enjoying a buffet lunch in the Sixth Form common room. The German delegation spent the rest of their stay in Liverpool enjoying the city’s cultural attractions, including the Everyman Theatre and several museums. St Mary’s Principal, Mike Kennedy, commented: “The German students obviously enjoyed their time with us and while it was only a relatively brief visit, many new friendships were forged and contact details exchanged. “It was also clear from speaking to them that they were very impressed with what both Liverpool and St. Mary’s have to offer,” added Mr Kennedy.
