Another good year for A levels
St. Mary’s College has reported another very good year for A Level results. The College’s overall pass rate was 97% with over 62% of passes at A*, A and B grades. This represents another improvement on the previous year’s performance. Five students achieved three or more passes at A grade, including Head Girl Alice Mackay and Deputy Head Girl Katherine Orme, both of whom gained all A* and A grades to win places to read Medicine at the Universities of Liverpool and Edinburgh respectively. St. Mary’s opened its doors at 7am to allow students to collect their results and give them support in confirming their university places.
Principal Mike Kennedy commented: “We are delighted with the performance of our students. They’re an excellent group of young people who deserve credit for all they have achieved and contributed during their time at St. Mary’s. We wish them the very best for the future.”
