The St Mary's College under 16 netball team are the champions of Sefton.

The Crosby school's squad were crowned as league winners at the end of a very successful season which saw them remaining unbeaten in all their matches.

The success of the campaign also resulted in the team being chosen to represent the area in the Merseyside under 16 county competition.

Head of Girls PE, Sally Foster, commented: "This group of girls have been consistently successful throughout their time at St Mary's and it's great to see them continuing their winning ways.

"Once again the team displayed great skill and determination throughout the season, playing some superb netball along the way."
