St. Mary's Celebrates 100% GCSE Success
Staff and pupils at St Mary's College in Crosby are celebrating a record year for full marks in public examinations in science.
22 Year 11 students achieved 100 per cent scores in one or more of their January GCSE Science Module 2 exams which cover physics, chemistry and biology.
Some of the students went one better by bagging the top mark in two of the subjects with several completing all three without dropping a point.
Dr Trevor Lane, who teaches chemistry to all but one of the 100 per cent pupils, said: "I'm absolutely delighted at what these students have achieved. They're a talented, hard-working group who thoroughly deserve their success."
St Mary's College Principal, Mike Kennedy, added: "These are excellent results which reflect the hard work and commitment of all the pupils involved.
"St Mary's has a very impressive track record of success in science and many of our students have aspirations for careers in the medical profession."
