Festival of Music: St. Mary's at the Phil
Talented music students from St Mary's College in Crosby took to the stage at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall recently.
For the 12th year in a row, the school's festival of music acted as a showcase of the skills of more than 150 students who performed at the event.
This year's concert was compered by Liverpool actress Cathy Tyson, star of film and TV successes like Mona Lisa, Band of Gold, Emmerdale and Holby City.

It featured a range of different musical groups from the college and its prep school The Mount.
They included the award-winning Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Band, Stage Band, Baroque Consort, Show Choir, Chamber Choir and Prep School Choir as well as a number of gifted soloists.
In addition, there was a guest appearance by children from Forefield Junior School in Crosby who took part in a massed choir item.
According to St Mary's Head of Music, Andrew Byers, the concert programme was designed to take the audience on a musical journey from JS Bach to Hollywood as the young musicians performed pieces from a wide range of styles and genres.
Highlights included the Bach Double Violin Concerto, And The Glory Of The Lord from Handel's Messiah, the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite and music by John Williams from the Steven Spielberg blockbuster ET.
Mr Byers commented: "Our Philharmonic concerts have been one of the highlights of the school calendar for many years and all the talented young musicians involved were very excited about playing at such a prestigious venue.
"The standards they attained at the concert once again rose to another level. Performing such a difficult repertoire with finesse and great musicianship is testament to the dedication of all the students and staff involved."
