Christmas Carol Concert
St Mary's College in Crosby made a musical start to the Christmas season when it staged its traditional carol concert this week.
Pupils and their families gathered for the annual event at SS Peter and Paul Church on Liverpool Road.
The atmospheric concert in the 100-year-old building included a selection of readings, carols and musical performances co-ordinated by the school's Director of Music, Andrew Byers.
The musical pieces included seasonal selections from the St Mary's orchestra and chamber choir as well as solo performances from pupils.

The traditional event finished in a traditional way with the serving of mulled wine and mince pies back at the school.
St Mary's College Principal, Michael Kennedy, commented: "The carol concert is one of the most popular events in the school calendar and this year's event was once again a really enjoyable way to herald the start of the Christmas season.

"I would like to pay tribute to all the staff and students whose hard work and musical skills helped to make the evening so special."
