The sixth formers stepped out in style at the St Mary's College winter ball.  Long dresses and dinner jackets were the order of the day for the glittering occasion which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool city centre for the second successive year.

Around 180 pupils from throughout the College's wide catchment area attended the event which is one of the highlights of the College's social calendar.

The ball was organised by Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Killen and a committee of students.  Mr Magill, Head of Sixth Form, commented: "The winter ball is a very popular annual event which the sixth formers really look forward to.  This year's ball once again proved very successful with all the students putting a lot of time and effort into dressing up and making it an evening to remember."
