6th Form Ball
Sixth formers were seen stepping out in style at the St Mary's College winter ball recently.
Dinner jackets, suits and ‘posh frocks' were the order of the day for the glittering occasion which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool city centre for the third year in a row.
Around 180 pupils from throughout the school's wide catchment area, including a strong Formby contingent, attended the event which is one of the highlights of the school's social calendar.
The ball was organised by St Mary's Deputy Head of Sixth Form Carole Killen and a committee of students.
St Mary's College principal, Mike Kennedy, commented: "The winter ball is a very popular annual event which the sixth formers really look forward to attending.
"This year's ball once again proved very successful with all the students putting a lot of time and effort into dressing up and making it a real evening to remember."
