edmund_rice_graphic.jpgSt. Mary's College, Crosby, is an independent HMC Catholic Day School for 11 - 18 Year old boys and girls welcoming pupils of all denominations. It is a registered charity that exists to educate children and welcomes families from all faiths.

Founded in 1919 by the Christian Brothers, St. Mary's College was one of twelve Brothers' Schools in England until it became an Independent Charity, St. Mary's College Crosby Trust Limited in January 2006. However, the college is still very committed to the Edmund Rice Charism. The school has a long tradition of academic excellence combined with enduring moral and spiritual values, fostering in its pupils a balanced and caring perspective on life.

The college is a member of the Headmaster's Conference (HMC), having been a Direct - Grammar School until 1976 and fully independent since.

St. Mary's College consists of three schools, which are fully co-educational throughout.

The Early Years Department, incorporating 'Bright Sparks' and Kindergarten, for children from birth to 4 years, is in Claremont House, within the main College grounds, with its own dedicated facilities and staff.

The Preparatory School, The Mount, is for children aged 4 to 11 years, and is sited in nearby Blundellsands Road West, also with its own facilities and staff.

The Senior School, for pupils aged 11 to 18 years, is in Everest Road, Crosby. It has its playing fields (20 acres) within easy walking distance on Little Crosby Road.
