RAF Section:

St Mary's RAF Section of the CCF travelled by train to St Mawgan's RAF base for their annual summer camp.  During the camp they undertook such activities as weapon training, command skills, drill, assault/obstacle course and enjoyed a day by the sea.

They returned on Saturday 11th July exhausted but having enjoyed an excellent camp.

Army Section:

From 4th - 11th July 2009 a group of 31 Army Cadets attended at Ballater Army on the Balmoral Estate for two days Adventure training.  The cadets completed a 150 foot abseil, kayaking and between a 5-15 mile fell walk.

They then attended at Barry Buddon on Deeside where they took part in various shooting actvities, command tasks, and a night excerise involving them patrolling before coming across a scene involving the enemy, when they were required to engage and destroy.

Like the RAF they returned on Saturday 11th July, very tired, but having had an excellent week.
