The under 17s progressed well with a convincing victory against SFX, Liverpool in the Lancashire Cup. Batting first, Oliver Gallagher scored 18 quickly which set the tone for the innings. Tom Prescott batted well for his 41 but the real fireworks came in an explosive fifth wicket partnership of 64 in just six overs with Tom Alman hitting 58 (6 x 4 and 2 x 6) and Tom Manley hitting a quickfire unbeaten 27 (3 x 4 and 1 x 6) to post a formidable 169 from their 20 overs.

SFX could post only 107 in return, the pick of the bowlers being Ben Rath who took 3 for 24 off 4 and Jack Morris Holland who took 2 for 16 off 4.
