St. Mary's reached their second county final in three days at Vale of Lune Rugby Club on wednesday afternoon. Following in the footsteps of the golf squad on the Monday the under 16 rugby squad reached the final of the Lancashire Plate beating Ripley St. Thomas, Lancaster 33-6 in an outstanding display of flowing rugby.

Anthony Bennett scored a hat-trick and Sean Marren and Gavin Griffiths scored one each with four conversions from the reliable boot of Joe Reade. All performed well, however the stand out performer was undeniably Jonathan Bonner who played excellently . Congratulations to all of the boys.

Finals day is Sunday 21st March ar Rochdale RUFC.
