U14 Badminton Review by Luke Killen
The U14 badminton team, consisting of Ben Wilson, Chris Bartolo, Luke Killen and David Jones, has so far had an excellent season winning every game they have played. We have now progressed to the Sefton Badminton Championships final.
Our first match was against Ambrose Barlow, it was played in our sports hall and we cruised to a seven nil victory. The 2nd round match against Holy Family, played at home, was one of the toughest games of our season so far, but our team still beat them seven games to nil.
In the 3rd round we played against Christ the King of Southport away and again we turned out another seven nil victory with each team member having excellent games.
The 4th round game was at home against St Michaels, we only played three games though as they only had three players and we easily won each of those three games. We then played our final group match against Stanley High at home, which again we won seven games to nil.
That was the all our group games finished as we won all the games we finished top of our group and reached the semi final.
For the semi final we travelled once again up to Christ the King and once again we played well and won seven games to nil. So now we are due to play Holy Family in the final.
