The Golf A Team enjoyed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Lysander School Padgate in a rain swept first round tie at the beautiful West Lancs Golf Club. The team are all single handicappers and gave shots to their opponents yet still came out winners.

The tournament is played under the Matchplay format with all players playing off 3/4 of their full handicap.

James Rooney won five and three off a handicap of five. Lucinda Burdett lost three and two off a handicap of nine and Andrew Knight won four and two off a handicap of nine. All the St. Mary's A team are year 10 pupils so we look forward to many years of success at the College.
